Turski Recovers From Debilitating Headaches

Freestyle skier Kaya Turski suffered from debilitating headaches for more than 15 months. For nearly a year, she tried to cope with the constant pain radiating from behind her eyes but the pain became so severe that she couldn’t focus on the course. Finally pushed to the point of seeking help, Red Bull sent her to Dr. Robert Bray at DISC Sports & Spine Center.

Dr. Bray told Kaya her headaches were caused by scar tissue that had built up at the base of her neck and that she would need surgery to release a compressed nerve. The headaches began to subside almost immediately. Soon after, she made a successful return to the slopes at the Dew Tour stop.
